BIO

Rob Freer, Ph.D., is a high school teacher and research consultant in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Dr. Freer partners with local community groups and institutions of higher education to understand workplace culture and provide evidence-based solutions to assist groups in maximizing their equity strategies. 

Rob earned his Ph.D. in Comparative and International Education + Adult Education from The Pennsylvania State University. Grounded in critical theory and theories of adult learning, his research focused on the systemic barriers that precluded individuals and groups from participating in the formal health system. Conducting research on Health Literacy and HIV/AIDS and Hypertension in Tanzania and Uganda, Dr. Freer’s research delved deep to understand the interconnected nature of power, culture, and historical context and how those dynamics influenced health decisions. 

Prior to completing his Ph.D., Rob spent over 10 years in sales and project management in the technology and wireless sectors.
