BIO

Outside of her role at Rankin Climate, Nancy is a full-time doctoral student and research assistant at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research interests include racial campus climates, race-conscious policymaking, and the distribution of student loan borrowing among racially minoritized borrowers. Prior to this role, Nancy was a Senior Research Associate for The Institute for College Access and Success (TICAS) in D.C. In this role, she conducted analyses on college access, college affordability, and student equity in higher education, and she supported the development of federal and state policy recommendations related to affordability and accountability. In addition to these roles, Nancy has a wide range of experience in learning and development, leadership development, DEI initiatives, multicultural programming, and student success initiatives. 

Nancy received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Connecticut. She is a doctoral student at the University of Maryland, College Park in The Higher Education, Student Affairs, and International Education Policy program.
