Jess Neumann-Kersten, Ph.D., is an account director at RW Jones Agency. Prior to joining RW Jones and Rankin Climate, Jess spent 15 years at the University of Denver. Her DU career began at the Sturm College of Law and she later worked to develop the university’s Office of Academic Innovation and Online Program Services. For the last decade Jess has focused on program development and management, preparing career-ready graduates through cross-disciplinary and experiential opportunities, and relationship building.

Jess is a first-generation student and earned her bachelor’s degree in media, culture and communication and gender and sexuality studies from New York University and masters and Ph.D. in communication studies from the University of Denver. Her research focuses on new media and, more specifically, how female fashion and lifestyle bloggers engage in communicative, relational, and affective labor in service of the market.
